Night oracles and falling stars

by Aurora Ferrer

JP Aurora Ferrer demonstrates that the electric guitar doesn't always need to have the starring role: you can rock with deep synth basses and arpeggiators riding on top of heavy drum beats, as long as they are topped with amazing vocals.
Great album!
Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)

Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) A surprisingly unique and perfect album from Germany - but then again, it turns out that Aurora Ferrer was born in Spain and chose to create her breathtaking music in Germany. It's hard to attribute a common label to her songs. A cursory peek into this debut album might reveal electronica and synthwave traits. But then there's her striking voice, which shifts the focus towards nu metal. On the other hand, there's quite some bias towards post-prog and avantgarde, too. Impossible to nail it. Favorite track: The game.
TheEliteExtremophile

TheEliteExtremophile The pulsing electronics are usually krautrock-y in nature, and the overall atmosphere is akin to acts like Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, and Pure Reason Revolution. The compositions are dense, creative, and driving.

null-o I love every song in this album and how they work together. Once I start listening to it, I always stay until the end. Arrangements, production and above all - the singing. Masterpiece. Favorite track: Divide and conquer.

The bend 04:22
You come, you go, fall silent You stay, you leave, you stumble A faint smile on the lips we fake To bear this lonely armour we build into ourselves To reshape All the weight we carry upon our shoulders All the names and faces we forgot You go, you come, keep silent You hurt, you feel, you stumble Around the bend every coin is vain The light beneath the strains shows Stars and fate, stars and fate And reshape All the weight we carry upon our shoulders All the names and faces we forgot
2.
Inner desire 04:27
Get me the moon off the shelf I want to taint it with ripe fruit While you read the folds on my forehead And undo my braids The space between your index finger And my third vertebral bone Turns into electrical shocks Dribble on the floor Tooth marks on our joints Kindle pore to pore Living until sunlight hours Tomorrow the silence might frown and make us drift into stone Tomorrow we might never dawn Tomorrow we might turn into mud But it was worth, the burden
3.
The flames are burning high tonight The fire is set to shed a light, to hit the unheeding, the lost hard A map of treasures in the dark To bring us back right to the start Behold the beauty of the unknown Decode the signs and read their minds, beware of them, beware of us A gap between two words, a final sight Divide and conquer now Now take me Make me feel the pain in a red sky And call for an empty truce that kills all question marks Of who’ll overcome My heart rate’s rising with the flood, Saliva is sticking in my mouth, bizarre account of broken vows A little sparkle to my boiling blood Divide and conquer now Now take me Make me feel the pain in a red sky And call for an empty truce that kills all question marks Of who’ll overcome The wind exhales a line of truth for those who will still listen The moon is howling to the sea, taints us with silver glisten We’re hunters, preys and sacrifices, battlefield is calling The gods are dead, we’re on our own, today we all are falling Goodnight, farewell, my daughters Goodnight, farewell, my sons Goodnight, farewell, old known shores  Goodnight, my love Now take me, make me feel the pain in a red sky And call for an empty truce that kills all question marks Of who’ll overcome
4.
Chasm 04:49
You fall and take me with you To your hole and cell, your own cold wind You brake me You crawl and drag me with you To your gorge and hell, your own false dream You brake me Oh, my heart, bleeding heart You fall and take me with you To your hole and cell, your own cold wind You brake me Oh, my heart, bleeding heart Oh, my heart, bleeding heart You break me
5.
Bring back the noise in constant letters The pain of space, the sentence, done A distant light we face While we defy the winds between our hands Bring back the noise, bring it back Bring back the noise, the strive, the wetter The strain of faith, the sentence, done And through the fire we dare To stove the moral fight inside our heads Bring back the noise, bring it back Cry out high the last bold piece of feel that’s in your heart Allow the holler Call out loud the lost bare fractions hiding in your mind Release the colours Bring back the noise in constant letters The pain of space, the sentence, done A distant light we face While we defy the winds between our hands Bring back the noise, bring it back

The game 03:34
Dead end, false path, the math has been uncovered Yet they keep playing the game You do, you mean, you help, you prop up You try to give your best, yet they covet your blood Time to see what a wasted life it is in the end To show your love when they don’t give a damn And you give your hands till your skin is chapped Yet you try to take things with a pinch of salt And you bleed yourself till your veins run dry Yet they won’t shy away from cracking it up Time to see what a wasted life it is in the end To show your love when they don’t give a damn Our efforts are futile when you’re just but a blow rack To be used and then just shattered And you give your hands till your skin is chapped Yet you try to take things with a pinch of salt And you bleed yourself till your veins run dry Time to see what a wasted life it is in the end To show your love when they don’t give a damn

Medusa 04:26
Alone I had to endure the rape, The hatred, jealousy, the curse My guts dissolve across your sour smile now And you still think I am the monster Stones, giants, horses in my womb The gorgon was always your baseless rage You needed someone to batch all that weight And you decided I was horror My blood was never culpable You bent the image of my self My blood was never culpable Wrote history made to your measure My blood was never culpable And you decided I was horror My blood was never culpable So you decided I’d be horror    'Cause you needed someone to batch all that weight The gorgon was always your baseless fear Imposed stones, giants, horses in my head And you still think I am the monster While my guts dissolve across your sour smile now The hatred, jealousy, the curse

Asleep we fall under a common shade This lack of knowledge makes us wrongly friendlier Asleep you are under my unknown wings Warm frozen pillows, our reckoner Tomorrow my eyes, my voice, my face, The colour of my hair, my name… will you remember? Marry my bed this one and only night. Closeness’s just a side effect of this vertical merger. Wake up, you children with the lost sight, Wake up to see the sun light the empty air between your hands, The feeling you will never be able to buy. For now, forever. Marrow like candy on a burnt out light bulb, moods on fire. The house sails on the sand, naked, uncovered, Closed queen of a mute kingdom, undone. Digressing, blinking, sometimes deserted, Omitting words and crossing breaths on the crags. It’s nothing, it’s nothing else than heartbeats getting wild. Marry my bed this one and only night. Closeness’s just a side effect of this vertical merger. Asleep we fall under a common shade This lack of knowledge makes us wrongly friendlier Asleep you are under my unknown wings Warm frozen pillows, our reckoner Tomorrow my eyes, my voice, my face, the colour of my hair, my name… will you remember?

Lights out 06:06
Raindrops wash a storm of idle random In the smell of the air and the ground No quiet, just wet grey Roses and hopes you abandoned A soft moan, inner rustle No road to be gone Just the time of a darkness Between one day and the next
